Meet Chriss Knight
Hi! My name is Chriss Knight and I’m happy you stopped by my blog! I am excited to share my Southern adventures with you. I promise, I won’t add extra sugar to the tea to make me sound sweeter 🙂
A little about me….I’m a Southern gal, born and raised in Cornelia, Georgia, home of the “Big Red Apple”. But I spent most of my time riding horses at my family’s farm in Lula (an even smaller town about 10 miles up the road), which is where my husband, daughter and I now call home. We recently sold our house in New Orleans and renovated my family farmhouse. It’s a dream come true!
After graduating from Georgia State University in Atlanta with a degree in Broadcast Journalism, I left the comforts of the South and moved around the country for a decade pursuing my journalism career. I was a reporter and anchor at stations in Jackson, TN, Lincoln (where I met my husband) and Omaha, NE, and finally, New Orleans, where Lon and I proudly called home for 11 years.
While in New Orleans, I hosted a tv show on the local ABC that features New Orleans’ businesses. I am also a social media manager, and self-taught SFX makeup artist. Click here for my full bio if you would like to learn more.
Today, I am a reporter for Neighborhood TV’s Atlanta stream. I love covering stories that impact the community I call home! My Historic Downtowns series explores the history and all the fabulous shops and restaurants that make up the local downtowns in cities throughout the North Metro area. You can also find me highlighting the week’s top stories and featuring a weekly Hidden Gem on Neighborhood TV’s social media pages.
We welcomed our adorable daughter, Kennedy, into the world June 2018. She is a doll and I couldn’t love being a mom more! Thank you for reading along as I dive into farmhouse Reno projects, explore adorable Southern towns, feature some amazing businesses and share health and beauty and home improvement tips!
