Farmhouse Reno: Master Bath Before & After
Oh my word! I love how our master bath turned out! We updated everything while still maintaining the original layout, claw foot tub and farmhouse feel.
White Subway Tile
We went with a larger version of the traditional subway tile. White with a light grey grout makes it pop against the grey walls! John Williams did a fabulous job on the tile and I highly recommend him! He is a very hard worker who is reliable and does great work for equally great price.
Original Pine Floors
Instead of tiling the floors too, we decided to keep hardwood floors throughout. The original pine floors were refinished by Coker Costum Floors. The outcome speaks for itself, I highly recommend them!
Brass Sconces for the Win
I love them!! I got them on Amazon for under $50! Shoutout to Dave Electric for hardwiring the sconces in and to John Williams for installing them after the tile was finished.
Refinished Clawfoot Tub
The original claw foot tub was reglazed to give it a fresh new look. Thanks to Unique Refinishers who did a fabulous job refinishing the tub! Note: when refinishing tubs, the smell is pretty instense for a couple of days. The professionals do a great job at bringing in fans to filter it out while they are working, but be prepared for the smell to linger. Also, don’t use them for at least 48 hours to let tub dry! We also updated the faucet with a beautiful brass handheld shower faucet.
Coventry Grey Walls
For walls we used Benjamin Moore’s Coventry Grey. It is a very sophisticated grey and it is also the color in our master bedroom. Jerry Williams and his crew did a great job on the paint!
