Little Projects, Big Curb Appeal to Our New Orleans House
My husband and I wanted to give our house a little facelift this summer. So glad we did! Just a few easy projects really made our cute house even more adorable! Here’s a look at what we did. Let me know what you think!
PAINTED FRONT DOOR: Our front door was originally black. We were getting tired of the darkness and wanted to add a bright pop of color! Trying to find a color that coordinated with our teal shutters proved to be a challenge. We finally decided on Sherwin Williams “Bora Bora”, a bright and pretty blue. It really transformed the house!
FAUX BOXWOOD ON STEPS: I love Ivy growing on step risers so I thought, why not try it on my steps. But because I have no patience and my thumb isn’t green at all, instead of real plants I used faux boxwood I purchased on Amazon. I cut the squares to fit the steps and tacked the pieces to the wood. It was super simple and really makes our entrance pop!
REBRICKED AND PAINTED STEPS Finally, we added light bricks to the walkway and painted our steps a much lighter grey. It turned out so good! Check out before and after here:
We love how our house projects turned out! What do you think?
