Off the Beaten Path: New Orleans’ Milan Neighborhood
Just off the Saint Charles Avenue streetcar line in Uptown is New Orleans’ Milan neighborhood. It features an eclectic mix of homes ranging from grand historic mansions to small shotguns and several new renovations. We call this neighborhood home and live in a small, 100-year-old house that was gutted and tastefully renovated back to its beauty. Our house is situated in an area that is transitioning and seeing a lot of new construction and renovations popping up.
New Orleans is such a diverse city with many wonderful historic neighborhoods that are a Southern feast for the eyes! Enjoy these pictures I took on my walk with Scout, our bullmastiff, on a sunny Tuesday afternoon in New Orleans’ Milan neighborhood.
Such a beautiful New Orleans day! Thanks for joining us for our walk (we always finish our walks with Scout drinking water from our front water faucet)!
I hope you too get to experience the magic of this city by visiting New Orleans soon!
Expect more blog posts from me exploring this beautiful city, as well as other Southern cities. In the meantime, if you ever find yourself inspired to visit New Orleans, please contact me and I’d love to send you a list of things to do and places to visit!
