A Sweet Southern Nursery for Baby Girl
We’ve been working hard these last few months getting the nursery ready for Kennedy’s arrival. And it’s turning out precious. I’m not one for themes…and the nursery reflects that with an eclectic mix of pieces…kind of like New Orleans gumbo! It’s a sweet Southern nursery that I love.
We found an adorable crib and bedding at Pottery Barn Kids and purchased art from local artists here in New Orleans to add to the walls. I love the Mardi Gras flower from Carnival Sculpture and the adorable butterfly from the Outdoor Living Center that was a sweet gift. My mom gave us a cute giraffe sketch she bought from an artist when she was in Paris. It looks so cute in the room.
I also repurposed an old bookshelf by painting it white and purchasing 4 canvas storage containers to add to the shelves. It’s now a perfect place for socks, onesies, little baby shoes…all the cute stuff!
Big thank you to Lon’s parents for the special gift that allowed us to purchase all the big furniture pieces and then some for the nursery
