I love vintage-style gowns and accessories. There is something so glamorous and wonderful about them…when I’m wearing my favorite vintage pieces I am taken back to another magical place and time. I feel very Marilyn Monroe!
I got to wear my favorite vintage-style gown at a photo shoot for my friend, super talented makeup artist, Cristina Claiborne. This shoot was technically my very first photos of me pregnant taken…however I had no idea at the time I was 5 weeks pregnant! The photo shoot took place at beautiful old locations around New Orleans and inspired me to create this post of some of my favorite vintage looks and more.
This is my favorite vintage gown. The silver color, the beading, I love evrything about it. Also wearing my grandmother’s jewelry, and a my friend’s vintage mink shaw completes the look.Makeup: Christina Claiborne, Photography: Brandon Xuereb, X-Istence Photography

Vintage baby shoes worn by me and my siblings. Kennedy will be wearing these soon enough!
You don’t have to over do it to be elegant and this vintage place setting at Oak Alley Plantation proves it. I love how elegant and simple it is.
